Accidental loss claim – December 2017

Background

Rebecca owns a holiday home at Waihi Beach.  During the month of January a guest went to open a ranch slider and accidentally put their knee through the glass pane at the bottom of the door – thankfully the guest only had a couple of minor cuts.

Claim Process

Rebecca asked the guest to send her a photo of the damage and she arranged for a glazier to attend that day to have the glass panel replaced.  Rebecca logged into her dashboard on the Initio website and lodged a new claim.  While she was entering the details, she uploaded a photo and repair invoice.

Outcome

Initio reimbursed Rebecca $495.61 ($895.61 repair minus $400 excess) the same day.
