Honestly, so easy to sign up. I was a little apprehensive as had never heard of Initio, but it was recommended on MoneyHub NZ. The process is easy, although I put the wrong date in to start the policy, customer service were amazing to deal with, fast and helped fix my error in a matter of minutes. I am also a huge shop arounder and for House and Contents together Initio came out cheaper than 4 other major insurers and the policy wordings benefit my family alot more.

Initio had tried maximum effort in order to minimise the payment for the insured. I had been through all the stress because of this event, loss of rent for rest of the year, theft and damages etc. Furthermore I have to experience even stressful time to deal with Initio insurance company dishonest approach.

I've found initio very easy to deal with online, and the premiums provide excellent cover for our situation (holiday home that's occasionally rented to guests). Other insurance companies made it such a hassle to get a reasonable quote under these circumstances.

Your water damage policy is far too strict. A gradual leak that you can't notice caused thousands of dollars in damage but wasn't covered by our cover.

I have appreciated the flexibility of Initio, providing a policy to insure our house under different circumstances. Fantastic - just insured 3 houses and my daughter and my wife will be insuring their houses with you next!

The cover provided for the price is much better than the traditional players. Your on-line customer journey from zero to insured, 2 minutes. Take one of your traditional competitors, couldn't provide the same cover/price, can't take dialogues and quotes digitally (even through e-mail) and require you to call at a minimum. Not so easy if you work unusual hours and also very time consuming. So on-boarding experience is very good, I hope I never need to try it but it's a good indication that claims are done just as efficiently

It is a nice simply way to arrange insurance. No long waiting queue on the phone and no need to go through the long questions and Initio records all info from previous insurance and you simply just need to update if anything new needs to be added. Simple and quick suits me as I'm too busy to do it the long way.
