How does initio handle claims?

Clients can lodge claims online through the dashboard by selecting “Make a Claim” on the right-hand menu.  By following the simple prompts, our website guides clients through the process. Once the claim is submitted, a confirmation email is sent. Clients can track progress via their dashboard.

Support from start to finish

Each claim is assigned an initio Claims Manager to assist throughout. We review the details, assess the damage, and work with experts if needed. Depending on the situation, we’ll either arrange for repairs, replacement, or offer a cash settlement. We stay in contact with our clients until the claim is fully resolved.

Things you need to know

First and foremost, it’s super important to remember to use your own unique landing page when sharing initio with your customers. This will ensure you get credited each time one of your customers signs up with us. Your unique landing page would’ve been emailed to you along with your counter-signed contract.

We also highly recommend, if you haven’t already, that you sign your own personal assets up with initio. By using our system and experiencing how effortless it is to navigate, you’ll be better equipped to guide your customers and provide them with the information they need. This will not only enhance your understanding of our system but also put you in a position of strength when it comes to advising others.

Your customers are provided with a login as part of their first policy purchase with initio. Please do not use your own contact information when helping a customer purchase a policy. Each customer needs to be signed up as a separate entity with their contact details and cannot be under a combined dashboard with your contact information.

We suggest that you take you own legal advice around generating quote’s for your customers as that could be deemed as ‘financial advise’. If you decide to generate quotes for your customers, here is a quick over overview of how to do that:
  1. Go to your unique landing page: This step is extremely important; it flags our system to pay you!
  2. Generate a quote: Use your client’s address and populate the information with what you think is relevant. Don’t worry; our system will do the heavy lifting for you. Ultimately, all you are doing is getting the quote started for the customer. They will be able to modify things themselves once they restore the quote in their own time.
  3. Email the quote to your client: Use your client’s email address on the Initio site. You can find the ‘save & email this quote’ link near the bottom of the full quote page. Please note, you could email the quote to yourself and then copy the “quote restore link” from the email you receive from Initio to then send it to the customer with a more personalized message.

The initio system will automatically generate and send you a report at the end of the month. This report will detail the transactions of customers who have joined initio through your partnership. The report will break down the rebate payable by initio to you. All you need to do is raise an invoice to our accounts department for payment.

Insurance lingo:

We have a responsibility to present our product to the customer in the right way so that there is no confusion. Initio can be referred to as a Digital Insurance Broker or Insurance Provider. We are not an Insurer or Insurance company.

 

Exclusive offers:

The initio offer is not exclusive. Initio has many partnerships, so we need to be careful when talking about exclusivity. We find it better to talk about our relationship as a partnership.

 

Discounts:

If you are offering a discount to your customers, then our preference is that you talk about a “discounted insurance offer from initio.” Its also important to note that the the discount offered by initio is applied to the ‘insurance premium’ component of the total cost. The insurance cost breakdown also includes government levies and GST which are not subject to any discount.

Q: What happens if you don’t get the conversion fee, but you know you’ve had a customer sign up with initio?

 

A: Get in touch with us with the name and email address of the customer in question. We’ll check our system manually. If they’ve signed up but haven’t been allocated to you, we’ll manually override the referral code. This situation would typically only occur if the customer didn’t use your unique landing page to get a quote and sign up with us.
