Steps to take if your windscreen is damaged
No excess!
If you have full cover on your vehicle with initio, then you don’t have to pay an excess if the claim is just for repair or replacement of your windscreen (or windows, glass sunroof or driving lights).
Lodge the claim online
If you need to have your windscreen repaired, you’ll need to log in to your initio dashboard and lodge the claim with us online against the right car policy. It’s quick and easy to do, just follow the prompts to complete the necessary questions.
Book in the repairs
Once you’ve lodged your claim, it’s up to you to choose and book a repairer. Simply provide them with the reference details from your confirmation email. You can call, email, or book online at a time that works for you. For chip repairs, many repairers can come to you.

If there are any issues with the repairer please have them call us or email us.
When the repair is completed
Let us know once the work is complete so we can look out for the costs from the repairer. Once the repairer’s invoice has been paid, we will let you know, and close the claim in our system. All done!
