Steps to take if your windscreen is damaged
Key takeaways
- If you have Full Cover, no excess applies when the claim is only for repair or replacement of your windscreen, windows, glass sunroof or driving lights.
- Claims for windscreen damage must be lodged online through your initio dashboard against the correct vehicle policy.
- Once your claim has been submitted, you can choose your own repairer and arrange a booking at a time that suits you.
- For small chip repairs, many repairers offer mobile repair services and can come to your location.
- You’ll need to provide your repairer with the claim reference from your confirmation email.
- After the repair is complete, let initio know so the repairer’s invoice can be processed and your claim can be finalised.
